Potted Potter Closes in Manila

Mischief Managed

POTTED POTTER Manila was definitely a success. With packed houses and not a single seat left in the house for the shows last three shows, the Manila audience was happy to see Potter tandem Gary Trainor and Jesse Briton back on stage at RCBC (there were definitely some repeat watchers in the crowd – We could tell. ;) ).  The ever so lucky TWI team was able to spend quite a bit of time with the wonderful touring company, and Manila, we can definitely tell you that the feeling was mutual. They loved Manila the first time around and couldn’t wait to get back to one of their favorite audiences of the entire tour!
The small Australasian touring cast and crew of 4 (two on stage and two behind the scenes) started its tour in Manila last year and after 5 months of touring they happily returned to Manila (the ONLY repeat city on the tour) to deliver us the same show, but with a brand new energy, brand new jokes and 5 months of show experience only making this second time around an even funnier show!

Filipino Netizens

Jesse and Gary were most especially taken aback by the online presence of the Filipino supporters. With the Potted Potter Manila FaceBook Page close to 30,000 “Likes” it was almost the equivalent of all the other countries combined! Gary let us in on a little secret and admitted that Manila was the reason he started using Twitter! The two guys have also been really great getting back to an overwhelming number of tweets of well wishes and congratulations.

Lunchbox Theatrical Productions

This run of Potted Potter, was brought to Manila by Lunchbox Theatrical Productions (LTP), the same wonderful group who brought us CATS, MAMMA MIA, and most recently THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA (voted Broadway World Philippines' "Best Touring International Cast").

LTP  has produced shows in Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, The Philippines, Europe, South Africa, Canada and the United Kingdom, and is now widely regarded as one of the leading producers of live entertainment in Australasia.

Wonder what they'll bring to Manila next? Stay tuned!! :)
