This November 30 to December 9, Ballet Philippines will restage the hit ballet musical Rama Hari. Based on the Indian epic The Ramayana, Rama Hari will feature pop stars Christian Bautista and Karylle in the singing roles of Rama and Sita alongside noted theater actors and the Manila Symphony Orchestra.
Created in 1980 by artistic heavyweights National Artist for Literature Bienvenido Lumbera (libretto), BP founder Alice Reyes (choreography), maestro Ryan Cayabyab (music), and National Artis for Theater Design Salvador Bernal (set and costume design), Rama Hari is a tale of heroism and love; the interplay of gods, kings and demons.
